Pools Plus, Inc. was founded in 1981 by Linda and Fred Butler in Elizabethtown Kentucky, as an in-ground pool construction company. Over the past 26 years, the company has grown into a full service, retail, and swimming pool construction company, with three locations in Elizabethtown, Bardstown, and Louisville. Pools Plus is a BioGuard Insignia Dealer, four time Aqua 100 award winner, Doughboy Elite Dealer, International Award of Excellence in Design award winner, Aquatech Design and Retail Store award winner, and member of APSP (Association of Pool and Spa Professionals). In 2006 Pools Plus became an Employee owned company through the ESOP program (Employee Stock Ownership Program). All of the members of the Pools Plus team take pride in their ownership of the company and in their training and customer service. Pools Plus offers a full line of water care products, casual furniture, aboveground pools, in-ground pools (vinyl liner and fiberglass), spas, saunas, and many other "Backyard Essentials". Pools Plus is proud to be known as Central Kentucky's "Outdoor Living Experts".
